Westin St. John Resort, US Virgin
Islands
Our vacation to St. John’s
Westin Resort was wonderful.
The hotel’s rooms and grounds
are kept in excellent condition. The
staff is helpful and the island is
beautiful. One suggestion would be
to rent your vehicle on St. John not
on St. Thomas. For snorklers the hike
to Leinster Bay and Waterlemon Cay
is worth it (about .8 mile on a flat
trail). Other snorkling beaches are
within a few yards of the parking
lots. There are many little shops
to explore and an open air market
in the town’s park near the
boat ferry dock.

Caneel Bay, a Rosewood Resort
This
is the best hotel on St. John with
clear water and beautiful beaches.
You can snorkel right along the beaches
- no boat required. And, the food
and service have improved greatly
and are very good. The only problem
was something we did not witness but
several friends reported seeing roaches
all around the resort including 2
in a room. We had been there previously
in April (not June like this most
recent trip) and never saw that or
heard about it.

Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning
Star Beach Resort, St. Thomas
Breathtaking!
I
can’t wait to go back. Our room
was in the side of a mountain facing
the water and that was breathtaking.
There were more than enough options
for meals on site. The spa and gym
are excellent. (The tension in my
neck is still not back after almost
2 weeks!). Help was available when
needed. Infact, it was such a great
experience that we bought timeshare
@ the new resort next door, even though
we had sworn we weren’t interested
and would only take the free stuff!!!
Also, several pools and hot tubs,
bars (with live bands), etc. The ferry
into town was the best. Near enough
to watch ship arrive and leave the
port but far enough to not hear them.
Lots of activities to keep you busy.
5 days was not long enough. Will definitely
be back.
Excellent location with great access
to downtown, shopping, the airport
keeping costs down for transportation.
Right on the beach too.........
Traveler's tip on getting
the most out of your stay
Try each of the restaurants on the
property and also Cuzzin’s in
downtown. Do as many activities as
you can but not so much that you miss
the beauty of the hotel and beach
itself. There’s so much to do
even on ground!
